Wow what a tournament!

Big thanks to Cascade Comets for hosting last weekend's flyball tournament in Auburn, WA. The weather was perfect for a weekend of racing! Special thanks to Len and Rekker of Cascade for running on our Sunday performance team, to Puget Hounds North and X-Fidos for letting our dogs run with you on Saturday, and to Cathy Kenzie of Dogwood who is always there for us with much appreciated advice and support.
We went into this tournament with specific goals in mind and we're very happy to say we achieved all of them. This weekend Raja achieved her FMCh title proudly with her excellent 4-footed swimmers turn all weekend. 3 dogs made their Region 7 debuts this weekend, Dice, Timber and Sushi. Also Zoey and Mercy had their first tournament experience as warm-up dogs. We are excited to announce that both Hank and Zark posted their fastest times ever this weekend and continue to improve with every tournament. Finally, we learned a valuable lesson about soft kennels and pit bulls -- as demonstrated by Dice.
Congratulations to Amy, who received the NAFA Junior Handler award - we are all so proud of how Amy handles Hank and Molly with confidence and good sportsmanship. Our club is extremely proud to have her with us. Finishing the weekend with champaign, congrats to all of the Unorthodogs family for a great weekend and for even better things to come!

For the record: Not all of us had champaign!

Thank you Kristie for the recognition. :D (I didn't realize I was being photographed..)

This was another fantastic Tournament hosted by Cascade. They always have great prizes. The annual tournament pins and the homemade fleece beds are my favorites.

We enjoyed ourselves at the RV tiki-fire with the ever congenial Canadians. Cracking bad monkey jokes and playing "guess my Fly".
That sounds worse than it was....

It was great getting our green dogs out there in the race lanes and we're very proud of the growth of our club members - it was a year ago that we descided to form our Club. We've come a long way. Adding new members and great dogs in just a year! Wow!
